Bronx, N.Y. - The 2011 Atlantic 10 champion softball team at Fordham will receive the present of a new, renovated field for their upcoming softball season. Well, the construction on the field is well underway as the workers enter week three of the project.

As the photos here show, there are now several holes in the ground outside of Bahoshy Field as the construction crews are preparing the foundations for the bleachers, dugouts and press box. Additionally, plumbing pipes will be put in shortly as well as wireless Internet attachments for the field.

The 2011 women's softball team finished the season with a 42-19 overall mark. They eclipsed the 40-win plateau for the second straight season and captured the Atlantic 10 championship crown. They advanced to the NCAA Regional round before they were eliminated by Penn State.
