Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham men's soccer team will travel to Uniondale, New York on Tuesday, September 27, for a matchup with Hofstra. The game will get underway at 7:00 P.M. The Rams enter the contest at 3-3-1 on the season, and they look to return above the .500 mark for the third time this season.

The squad comes in following a home game with Marist on Wednesday, September 21. In that contest, which ended in a scoreless tie, both teams played through regulation and two overtimes without scoring a goal. Ryan Meara made six saves for the Rams and his counterpart for the Red Foxes, Steve Skonieczny, made five saves. The shutout for Meara was the 26th of his career, leaving him one shy of the Fordham all-time mark of 27, held by former keeper, Jeff Knuth.

Entering the matchup with the Pride, Fordham is led on offense by John McHugh. The senior has logged four points on the season; with a goal and two assists. John Niyonsaba leads the team in shots, with 15.

Hofstra brings a 3-3 record into the game. They are led on offense by Brett Carrington; who has recorded five points on two goals and an assist. Chris Griebsch leads the team with 15 shots taken. Between the pipes, Roberto Pellegrini has played every minute for the Pride. He has allowed nine goals in the six matches, which translates to a 1.49 Goals Against Average. The sophomore has parried 33 shots taken against him.

These two schools met on the pitch in 2010 and Fordham defeated Hofstra, 3-1. In that game, Doug Hanly, Julian Nagel and Tim Richardson all found the back of the net for Fordham.

Following the game with the Pride, the Rams return to action on Friday, September 30, when they travel to Gaelic Park to take on Manhattan College in the annual "Battle of the Bronx". The contest with the Jaspers is slated to begin at 7:00 P.M.
