First Two Rounds Stats

Two rounds have been completed at the Cornell Invitational at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Ithaca, New York and the Fordham men's golf team finds itself in sixth place out of 14 teams after the conclusion of play on Saturday. The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday, September 25. The Rams are lead by freshman Jeff Hogan, who posted identical even par-72 scores. His combined 144 puts him in seventh place among individual golfers.
As a squad, the Rams opened with a 301 team score and posted the same number in the second round. The combined 602, which put them in sixth place, is just five strokes shy of Colgate's and St. Bonaventure's 597, the two teams in fourth place. The overall team leader is Columbia at 578, and for the lone linksmen, the top man is Lafayette's Carter Rufe, who posted scores of 70 and 69 for a five-under par total of 139.
Besides Hogan, the other golfers for Fordham did well also. Brody Nieporte shot identical 75 scores, for a total of 150, which puts him in 26th. Ten slots behind him is team captain, Devon O'Rourke, who shot a 75-77 for a combined 152. The next Fordham golfer was Jason Del Rosso, who is in 46th place after rounds of 79 and 77. Finally, Connor Monaghan is in 55th after shooting 81 and 77.
The team concludes the Cornell Invitational with the final 18 holes on Sunday. The shotgun start will get underway at 8:30 A.M.
