Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University will have two `football games' in the Nutmeg State on Saturday as the Rams' men's soccer team travels to West Hartford, Connecticut to face Hartford in a makeup game following the August 27 no-contest ruling amidst Hurricane Irene. The game time, scheduled for 7:00 P.M., follows the gridiron Rams' joust with Connecticut earlier that afternoon.

The men's soccer team enters Saturday's match with a 1-0 overall record. The team won it's home opener this past Wednesday against Lehigh. In that game, sophomore defender Michael Stalker scored the only goal and Ryan Meara made three saves between the pipes.

In the original meeting between the Rams and the Hawks, nearly 60 minutes of action was completed when the game was called a no-contest. Fordham led 2-1 when play was suspended, as John McHugh and Tim Richardson accounted for the tallies. In this redo on Saturday, no of the stats will carry over and the game will commence from the beginning as if nothing had happened.

Hartford enters the contest with an identical 1-0 record. The Hawks defeated Siena College on Thursday. Following the game with Hartford, Fordham will return to action on Friday, September 9, when they travel to Omaha, Nebraska to face Creighton University. The kickoff for that game is 8:00 P.M. The Rams return home on Wednesday, September 21, when they host Marist College at 7:00 P.M.
