For the second year, Fordham University Athletics will team with TicketReturnTM, a leading developer of integrated Box Office and Internet ticketing services, for football and basketball tickets. This technology will allow the Rams to use scanners and digital tickets which will help shorten lines at the gate and allow fans to print tickets from home.
Ram fans that purchase single-game tickets through the Fordham web site at www.FordhamSports.com will be able to print those tickets at home and bring them to the game where they will be scanned. This will help avoid having to wait on line on game day.
Once again, season tickets holders will be given the opportunity to acquire a Season Ticket card (similar to a credit card) that can be scanned to gain access to home events. Season ticket holders may also opt to receive printed tickets for the season. Whichever system is used, if a season ticket holder is unable to attend a game they will be able to transfer the tickets to another person who can then print the tickets online.
Season tickets for the 2011 season are on sale and are available for just $45 for the loge section and $30 for general admission. There is a $2.00/ticket fee for the Season Ticket card.
The Rams open the 2011 season on Thursday, September 1st in East Hartford, Connecticut, against the University of Connecticut before kicking off the home portion of the schedule on Saturday, September 17th, by hosting Columbia University on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m. in the annual Liberty Cup game.
Once again, the Rams will feature a number of promotional days during the 2011 football season. The home opener on September 17th is slated as Homecoming while the second home game, against Lehigh on October 15th, will be Family Weekend. It is suggested you buy your tickets for Homecoming and Family Weekend in advance due to the large crowds typically in attendance these games.
Besides Columbia and Lehigh, the Rams will also host Bucknell (November 12th) and Holy Cross (November 19th) in 2011. Along with UConn, the 2011 road schedule features games at Rhode Island (September 24th), Colgate (October 1st), Penn (October 8th), Lafayette (October 22nd), Army (October 29th) and Georgetown (November 5th).
