Fordham water polo coach Bill Harris announced the addition of four players for the 2011 season, which include three freshmen, Noah LeBeau, Charlie Reed, and Eric Minowitz, and one junior, Alex Judge.
Le Beau is a 6-0 goalkeeper from Long Beach, California, and Wilson Classical High School. He served as a Varsity water polo player and swimmer at Wilson Classical. He was named as team captain in 2010, and selected as a two-time All-Moore League selection (2009-10).
Le Beau was named "Dream Team" Goalie by the Press Telegram Newspaper in 2011, and received the Most Inspirational Player Award in 2009. He played club for the Long Beach Shore Aquatics and was a part of ODP Coastal California Zone in 2009. Le Beau was also a S&R Junior Olympics 18U boys All-American & Honorable Mention Platinum Division in 2010.
Reed is a 6-1 utility player from La Jolla, California, and The Bishop's School. He was a three-year varsity water polo player and 2011 team captain. He was named a two-time Academic Scholar recipient (2010-11) and received the Coaches Award in 2011.
Reed helped Bishop's to the CIF and League Championships in both 2008 and 2010. He also won a bronze medals with U18 SD Shores at the Junior Olympics and at the 2011 U18 United States Club Championships.
Minowitz is a 5-11 driver from Greenwich, Connecticut, and Greenwich High School. He was a four-year varsity water polo player, serving as team captain during his senior campaign. He earned Third Team All-American honors as a junior and received Class Player of the Year honors as a freshman, a sophomore, and as a junior.
Judge, a 6-2 utility player from Croton-On-Hudson, New York, should be a recognized name on the Fordham water polo squad, as his father, Chris, was a water polo standout for Fordham, a former coach at Fordham, and is a member of the Fordham Athletics and the CWPA Hall of Fame. A graduate of Graduate of Croton Harmon High School, Alex was a multi-sport athlete in high school and played club water polo for the New York Athletic Club.
