Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham volleyball team announced their 2011 schedule today, which will feature a 15-match Atlantic 10 schedule, as well as four tournaments in non-conference play, highlighted by matches against opponents from the Big East and Pac 12. The Rams will also host the annual Rose Hill Classic for the 11th straight season.

Fordham, an Atlantic 10 championship participant in four of the last five seasons, will open their 38th varsity season across town in Brooklyn at the SFC Terrier Invitational, August 26th-27th. The Rams will open with Rider on August 26th, while playing NJIT and host St. Francis (NY) on August 27th.

Following that tournament, the Rams will head south to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, for a three-match tournament at Bucknell. Fordham opens against host Bucknell on September 2nd, with matches against Manhattan and Dartmouth on September 3rd.

The Rams then have their home opener on September 9th, as a part of the 11th Annual Rose Hill Classic, which will be held over a three-day span. The tournament will feature eight matches over three days between Fordham, Albany, Siena, Colorado, and St. John's. Fordham opens with Albany on Friday, Siena and Colorado on Saturday, and St. John's on Sunday.

Fordham has their final regular season tournament at Brown on September 16th-17th. The Rams will face host Brown on September 16th, followed by Bryant and Maryland Eastern Shore on September 17th.

Besides the tournaments, Fordham has four other non-conference matches, which includes three Big East opponents. Fordham will meet Stony Brook (Sept. 21), Rutgers (Oct. 4), and Connecticut (Oct. 11) on the road, while hosting Seton Hall on September 28th.

The Atlantic 10 Conference once again has 15-match format for 2011, as the conference remains as one large division. Fordham will play home-and-home series against Saint Louis, Dayton, Charlotte, George Washington, Temple, and Duquesne, while having single games against Rhode Island (home), Xavier (home), and La Salle (away).

The Rams will look to make their fifth championship appearance in the last six years at the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship, which will be held in Dayton, Ohio.
