University Park, Pa. - Day two of the University Park Regional gets underway on Saturday, May 21 and it begins with the Fordham softball team taking on the 13th overall seed, Oregon at 2:30 P.M. Both teams advanced to the winner's bracket following victories on Friday.

The Rams defeated the host school, Penn State, 2-0, on Friday evening thanks to a stalwart pitching performance from Jen Mineau and a timely home run from Beckah Wiggins. The Ducks came from behind to beat Albany, 3-1.

Oregon and Fordham have met only one time in their softball histories. The two schools played to an 11-0 Ducks win in 2000. This season, the Rams have an 0-1 record against Pac 10 schools, losing to Washington 2-0, at the Cathedral City Classic in February.

If the Rams win, they will advance to the championship game on Sunday against an undetermined opponent. If Oregon triumphs, then the Rams play an elimination game on Saturday against either Albany or Penn State.
