Despite weather issues earlier in the day, the 2011 ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championships were able to finish up in Princeton, New Jersey on Sunday. Sunday's finals featured Fordham's Kerri Gallagher in the finals of the 1,500 meters and Fordham's 4x800 men's relay team in their respective final.
Gallagher was the first to compete on Sunday in the 1,500 meters. Having qualified third overall on Saturday, Gallagher fought through difficult condition early in the day to finish 12th in the final in 4:37.31.
The men's 4x800 relay faired better later in the afternoon, as the group repeated their Second Team All-East performance from the indoor season. After qualifying ninth on Saturday, the group of John Cosgrove, Ryan Polo, Brian Walter, and Brian Schmidt finished second overall in a season-best time of 7:26.20, trailing only the University of Pennsylvania, which won the IC4A event in 7:25.29.
