As the 2010-11 season begins to wind down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 77th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on May 4th to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year.
Among those honored was Brian Riley, who was named the 2010 Men's Cross Country Most Valuable Player.
On the year, Riley posted three top 15 finishes, including a first place finish at the C.W. Post Invitational on September 18th, leading Fordham to the team title, and an eighth place showing at the IC4A Championship on November 20th, where the Rams placed third of 20 teams. At the C.W. Post Invitational he clocked a 25:52.29, the second fastest cross country time for a Ram this year.
