Round Two Scores

After shooting a 325 in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Friday, the Fordham golf team shed 17 strokes off their score on Saturday and finished with a much-improved 307, which kept the team in eighth position out of 11 schools, after the completion of round two. Fordham's Connor Monaghan led the team with a three-over-par 75 from the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort from Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. He improved six shots off his opening round 81.
Charlotte has a two round total of 583 to maintain a stranglehold on their lead. The Rams' two round score is 632, which is five strokes ahead of St. Bonaventure and three shots behind Rhode Island.
Monaghan currently sits in a tie for 24th place. After him, Devon O'Rourke shot a 76 and has a two round total of 157, good for a share of 27th position. Brody Nieporte improved from his opening round 81 to a 77, for a combined mark of 158, and a tie for 30th place.
Also finished for the Rams was Jason Del Rosso, whose two round scores of 82 and 79 gave him a combined score of 161, good for a tie for 38th place. The final Fordham competitor is Ryan Donahue. Donahue totaled a 164 after opening with an 83 and posting an 81 in the second round. He is in 43rd position. The individual leader is Xavier's Herbert Day, who is two under par after two rounds.
Round three gets underway early morning on Sunday, May 1. The Rams look to improve on their eighth place standing.
