Competition continued at the 2011 Penn Relays at Franklin Field on Friday with Fordham having three more entries in the men's 4x400 relay college event, as well as in the men's and women's sprint medley relay championship races.
Fordham's first event of the day was in the men's 4x400 relay, where Sean Atkinson, Sam Houston, Christopher Lyons, and Brian Schmidt posted the Rams' best time of the season. The quartet finished in 31st place in an IC4A qualifying time of 3:16.58.
Then in the women's sprint medley relay championship event, Fordham's team of Sherilyn Groeninger, Elisabeth Warren, Kelly Connolly, and Kerri Gallagher had the team's best finish of the Penn Relays, taking 15th overall in 4:02.58.
The Rams' final entry on day two was in the men's sprint medley relay championship event. Fordham's group of Lyons, Houston, Nick Delligatti, and Atkinson took 27th overall in a season-best time of 3:38.57.
The final day of the competition gets underway on Saturday morning at 7:00 AM. Fordham has only one entry on the day, which will be in the men's 4x800 relay championship event.
