Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham Rams softball team will play host to the Iona Gaels on Tuesday, April 26 at 3:00 P.M. at a game played at Bahoshy Field in the Bronx. Fordham enters the game winners of nine of its last 10 games.

The Gaels currently sport a 17-16 overall mark, including a 5-3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference record. The Rams are 31-17 and 12-4 in the A-10.

Two two schools renew a rivalry that dates back to 1985 and the game on Tuesday will be the 46th in a rivalry that Fordham leads 27-17-1 all-time. The two schools met twice in 2010, and the Rams won both games.

Recently, Fordham split a doubleheader with Dayton. It won the first game, 4-1, but lost the rubber match, 3-1. Prior to the game, the Rams held their Senior Day ceremonies for the five seniors on the team. The team also wore black armbands with the initials N.A. emblazoned on them. The armbands were worn to honor former Rams softball player Nicole Ayres, who died in September of 2010.

Following the game with Iona, the Rams return to action on Wednesday, April 27, when they host fellow MAAC opponent, St. Peter's for a doubleheader. The games get underway at 3:00 P.M. and this series will be the final home games of the season for Fordham.
