Belleville, Mo. - The Fordham University men's tennis team wrapped up competition at the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championships today with a 4-0 loss to Dayton in the consolation bracket at the Kings Sports Club.

There were no doubles matches played as the match was delayed due to rain in the St. Louis area. The Flyers won the match by winning all four of the completed singles matches.

At first singles Dayton's Robert Salcedo defeated Alex DeRienzo, 6-2, 6-0, while at the second position, Joe West upended Fordham's Austin Shoup, 6-4, 6-2. The other two completed matches were at the fifth and sixth spots where Eli Plangger fell to Sam Pecyna (6-2, 6-0) and Dan Kane-West was beaten by Sean Brady (6-3, 6-2).

The Rams will close out the 2011 spring season on Tuesday, April 26th, as they host Queens College on the Hawthorn/Rooney Courts at 1:00 PM.
