The Fordham University men's tennis team opened play today at the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship with a 4-0 loss to St. Bonaventure University at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center.

The Rams opened the match by dropping the doubles point as Austin Shoup and Ken Fukumoto fell at first doubles to Chris Post and Elliot Fanshel, 8-6, while Nick Kelly and Eli Plangger were upended by Enric Larregola and Mikhail Sudakov, 8-1.

The Bonnies then won the match by winning all three completed singles matches. Kevin Maloney fell to Sudakov at third singles, 6-0, 6-0, Andriy Kulak lost at the fourth position to Fanshel, 6-0, 6-0, and Dan Kane-West was upended by Luis Guevara at sixth singles, 6-1, 6-0.

The Rams will now face the University of Dayton on Saturday at 8:00 AM.
