Newport News, Va. - Fordham's junior, All-American Jen Mineau, was named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week it was announced on Monday, March 7. This was the first award of its kind for the pitcher this season.

Mineau had a busy week from February 28-March 6. The team competed in the 2011 Citrus Classic at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida and she saw action in four games.

Mineau went 2-1 on the weekend, including a three-hit shutout against North Carolina and a 2-1 win over Illinois State. The junior from Schagticoke, N.Y. allowed just eight hits, eight walks and three earned runs in 18.2 innings of work, while recording a 1.12 ERA and 15 strikeouts.

Against the Redbirds on March 4, Mineau tossed a complete game. She allowed just two hits and two walks en route to the 2-1 win. She followed that up with her win over North Carolina. In the game against the Tar Heels, on March 6, was a complete game win. She struck out eight batters and walked five. Mineau also made two appearances out of the bullpen.

Jen Mineau and the Rams return to action on Saturday, March 12, when the team travels to Charlottesville, Virginia to face Princton and Syracuse in day one of the Cavalier Classic. Fordham also plays Virginia in that tournament.
