The finals of the 2011 ECAC/IC4A Indoor Track & Field Championship were held on Sunday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Massachusetts, with the Rams posting two All-East performances.
First, it was senior Kerri Gallagher, who placed second in women's 800 meter final in 2:08.72 to earn All-East honors.
Then, the men's 4x800 relay took the stage in their final. The team of John Cosgrove, Kevin Fitzgerald, Ryan Polo, and Brian Schmidt earned All-East honors, as they placed second in a school record time of 7:26.00. The group broke the previous mark of 7:27.2, set by Eric Trammell, Gene McCarthy, Alex Trammell, and John Jurgens in 1975. The time was also the second fastest in the country this season, behind only Notre Dame (7:25.31).
Out of teams that scored, Fordham tied for 29th out of 50 scoring teams in the women's competition, while the men tied for 33rd out of 51 teams.
