Fordham Closes Out 2010-11 Season by Hosting UMass for Senior Day on Saturday at 1:00 PM

Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University men's basketball Rams closes out their 2010-11 with Senior Day on Saturday afternoon by hosting the University of Massachusetts Minutemen in an Atlantic 10 game in the Rose Hill Gym at 1:00 p.m. The game will be the final appearance in a Fordham uniform for two Ram seniors, Brenton Butler and Jacob Green, who will be honored in a special pregame ceremony. Game Notes

The Rams enter the game with a 6-21 overall record, 0-15 in the Atlantic 10, after dropping an Atlantic 10 game at La Salle on Wednesday night. Massachusetts enters the game with a 15-13 overall record, 7-8 in the conference, and is coming off a 73-67 overtime A-10 loss to Temple at home on Wednesday.

On the court, Fordham is led by sophomore Chris Gaston and Butler. Gaston has posted a double-double in 16 of the 27 games this year, including a 19-point, 17-rebund game at La Salle on Wednesday, and is averaging a team-high 15.8 ppg and 11.2 rpg, tops in the Atlantic 10 and sixth best in the nation, while Butler is second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.0 ppg while also dishing out a team-best 89 assists. He is currently eighth on the Fordham all-time scoring list with 1,495 career points. Freshman guard Branden Frazier, a product of Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn, is averaging 11.3 ppg.

Saturday's game will be the 37th meeting between the Rams and the Minutemen on the hardwood. Massachusetts leads the all-time series, 25-11, including a78-76 win on Amherst last year.
