Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham women's tennis team hosted one of the top teams in the Atlantic 10 on Wednesday afternoon in the Temple Owls at Stadium Tennis in the Bronx. The Rams started off strong with a first doubles win, but Temple would rally for a 7-0 win.

Play began well for the Rams, as Mia Fiocca and Angelika Dabu posted an 8-6 win at first doubles over Temple's Theresa Stangel and Christine Clermont. The Owls however earned 8-3 and 8-0 wins at second and third doubles to receive the doubles point.

In singles action, Temple swept all six singles matches in straight sets. The top performances for Fordham came from Fiocca at first singles and Sarah Tremaine at third singles.

Fiocca fell to Stangel by scores of 6-2 and 7-5, while Tremaine lost to Alicia Doms, 6-2 and 6-4.

The Fordham women's tennis team will next be in action on Friday, April 1st, when the Rams host Queens College at 3:00 PM at the Hawthorn/Rooney Tennis Courts.
