Fairfield, Conn. - The Fordham baseball team will look for their third straight road win on Tuesday, when they travel to Fairfield for a match-up with the Stags at 3:30 PM. Fordham leads the all-time series with the Stags at 24-22 with the Rams winning four of the last five meetings.

PROBABLE STARTERS:
Fordham - LHP Rich Anastasi (3-0) vs. TBA |

SCOUTING FAIRFIELD: The Stags are 7-11 on the season, and have lost six of their last eight games. The team is batting .234 overall with a 4.71 ERA.

At the plate, Tucker Nathans has been Fairfield's top performer, batting .301 with four doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI. Tyler Wosleger is second on the team with 13 RBI.

On the hill Gavin McCullough leads the Stags with a 2.00 ERA in four appearances, while Kyle Capaldo has been Fairfield's top reliever in eight appearances, posting a 2-2 record, one save, and a 3.38 ERA.

WE'RE GOIN' STREAKIN': Ryan Lee is hitting .400 (12-30) over his current seven-game hit streak with five runs scored and three stolen bases... Joe Russo is batting .346 (9-26) in his last seven games with two double, a home run, and seven RBI... Ryan David is hitting .333 (7-21) in his last seven games with a pair of doubles... On the hill, Chris Pike has three saves and a 3-0 record in eight appearances to go with a 1.91 ERA, 36 strikeouts, and .207 opponent batting average... Max Krakowiak threw his fourth career complete game on Sunday in a win over La Salle, allowing just one unearned run on three hits... Brian Pendergast threw his first career complete game at Fordham on Friday in a 2-1 lost to La Salle... Rich Anastasi is 3-0 in eight appearances out of the bullpen, posting a 2.79 ERA and 14 strikeouts... Tim Swatek has 14 strikeouts and a 3.55 ERA in 12.2 innings of work to open the year.

WHEELIN' & STEALIN': In Fordham's March 20th game against NJIT, the Rams racked up 13 stolen bases en route to a 7-6 extra-inning win over the Highlanders. It was almost a deja vu game, as the Rams had 12 stolen bases against the same NJIT Highlanders back in 2008.

The 13 stolen bases were the most by the Rams since they swiped 14 bags on April 11, 2001 against Wagner.

Individually, Brian Kownacki had a career-high four stolen bases in the game, with Ryan Maghini, Tim Swatek, and Matt DeSilva each having two. Chris Walker, Joe Russo, and Ryan Lee rounded out the total with one theft each.

Kownacki's four steals were the most by a Rams since Danny Leach stole four bases against Richmond on May 9, 2009.

FINISHING WHAT THEY STARTED: In the Rams' Atlantic 10 opening series against La Salle, the Fordham starting pitching staff of Brian Pendergast, Chris Pike, and Max Krakowiak pulled off a rare "hat trick", as each pitched a complete game with the Rams going 2-1 in the series.

The last time Fordham had at least three consecutive complete games was in April 2003, when the team had four straight pitched by Andrew Paolillo, Craig Tscherednikov, Bryan Kelly, and John Baco in doubleheaders against Columbia and Rhode Island.

UPCOMING GAMES: Following today's game, the Rams begin a home weekend with a single game against Massachusetts on Saturday, April 2nd, while having a doubleheader versus Albany on Sunday, April 3rd. The Rams then return to the road for a game at New York Tech on April 6th.
