Day Two Results
Raleigh, N.C. -
Members of the Fordham University outdoor track and field squad concluded their competition at the Raleigh Relays today with senior Kerri Gallagher leading the Rams by winning the 1500m competition with one of the top women's 1500m times in the country this year.
Gallagher crossed the finish line in a time of 4:26.34, the second fastest women's 1500m time Fordham history (Lauren Gubicza's 1992 school record of 4:16.3 is the fastest), edging out North Carolina State's Lillian Greibesland by 0.52 seconds. The time is the fifth fastest women's NCAA Division I 1500m time this year and qualifies Gallagher for the ECAC Outdoor Championship to be held on May 14th and 15th at Princeton.
The women's 4x800 relay also turned in an impressive performance, placing fourth in a time of 9:14.12, qualifying Fordham for both the ECAC Championship as well as the Penn Relays. The 4x800 was comprised of Ashley Davis, Diane Bain, Kelly Connolly and Gallagher.
