Women's Tennis Ends Spring Break Road Trip With Loss at James Madison

Harrisonburg, Va. - The Fordham women's tennis team wrapped up its spring break road trip on Saturday with a match-up with the James Madison Dukes. After two close matches earlier in the trip, the Rams were upended by the Dukes, 7-0, at the Hillside Courts in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

James Madison opened the match by sweeping the doubles action, earning victories by scores of 8-4 (1st), 8-1 (2nd), and 8-2 (3rd).

The Dukes then went on to win each of the six singles matches in straight sets. Fordham's Angelika Dabu had the Rams' best effort at second singles, falling to Michelle Nguyen, 6-2, 6-4.

The Fordham women's tennis team will next be in action on Wednesday, March 23rd, when the Rams host the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights at the Hawthorn/Rooney Tennis Courts, beginning at 3:00 PM.
