Towson, Md. - Playing in their second match in two days, the Fordham University women's tennis squad experienced the same result for the second straight day, falling 4-3 to Towson University at the Towson Center Courts. Mia Fiocca, Angelika Dabu and Hanna Fritzinger accounted for the Rams' points with wins at first through third singles, respectively.

The Rams opened the match dropping the doubles point as the Tigers took two of the three doubles matches. Fiocca and Dabu fell at first doubles to Encarni Lizana and Andrea Samlin, 8-6, and Bethany Boyle and Jennifer Mullen dropped third doubles to Nisha Shah and Beth Daub, 8-1. At second doubles, Fordham's Sarah Tremaine and Fritzinger bested Towson's Aandria Carr and Ariel Burke, 8-4.

At first singles, Fiocca upended Carr in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, while at the second position, Fritzinger handled Lizana in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. Dabu took third singles from Aprodu, 6-3, 6-3, but the Rams couldn't find another singles win to pull out the victory.

The Rams will next be in action on Saturday, March 19th, as they travel to Harrisonburg, Virginia, to take on James Madison University for a 1:00 p.m. match.
