Members of the Fordham track team are in their final preparations for the ECAC/IC4A Championships to take place next weekend in Boston, Massachusetts. On Thursday, it was the first of two final chances to post a qualifying time for the championship as 12 Rams made their way down to the Armory Track & Field Center in New York.
In the women's 3,000 meter run, Jana Trenk posted a time of 11:10.13, while in the men's version, Tim Kazanjian posted a time of 9:09.57.
In the women's 1500 meters, Christina Machado had the best time out of the five Ram runners. She posted a season-best time of 5:08.59. Machado was followed in by Kim Naples (5:09.60), Christina Vivinetto (5:27.93), Shannon McKenna (5:36.87), and Siobhan Cooney (5:47.64).
In the men's 1500 meters, Rich Grandelli posted his best time of the season in 4:09.13. Behind him were finishers Joe Hartnett (4:10.54), Devin Kelly (4:12.21), Ben Delikat (4:17.18), Patrick Burke (4:21.08), and Conor O'Malley (4:22.13).
The rest of the Rams' track & field team will be in action on Friday, February 25th, at the Last Chance Invitational, hosted at the Armory Track & Field Center, beginning at 6:00 PM.
