The Fordham Rams' softball team travels to Clearwater, Florida to participate in the USF Tournament hosted by the University of South Florida this weekend. The games begin on Friday, February 18 as Fordham faces Ole Miss at 4:00 P.M. and then the Rams host USF at 6:00 P.M.
The Rams currently own a 1-3 record and have played top competition. This tournament is no different. On Saturday, February 19, Fordham faces Indiana at 12:30 P.M. Later in the day, they square off against DePaul at 5:00 P.M. The tournament concludes on Sunday when the Rams play Alabama-Birmingham at 10:30 A.M.
Through four games this season, the Rams are led on offense by Jocelyn Dearborn. The senior is hitting .308 and has driven in both of Fordham's runs this year. She has a double and a triple out of four hits. In the circle, senior Chelsea Plimpton has recorded the Rams' only win. She owns a 1.17 ERA, has tossed two complete games and posted a shutout.
Following the USF Tournament, Fordham travels Cathedral City, California to take part in the Cathedral City Classic. The competition for the Rams in that tournament will be Texas, Washington, Cal State Fullerton, LSU and Nevada.
