The Fordham women's basketball team heads up to Kingston, Rhode Island to take on the Rhode Island Rams on Wednesday, February 16 at 7:00 P.M. The Rams are looking to end their six-game losing streak.
The Rams enter the game with a 10-16 overall mark, including a 2-8 conference ledger. Their namesake, URI, comes in with a 7-17 record, 1-9 in the Atlantic 10. The Rhode Island Rams just picked up their first league win with a 68-54 win over Saint Louis last Sunday.
Fordham comes in off the heels of a 77-55 loss to Xavier on Saturday. In that game, sophomore guard Arielle Collins set career-highs in points (20) and steals (5). The game will be televised in the Rhode Island area on COX Sports in a tape-delayed format.
Following the Rhode Island game, the Rams return home to host the St. Bonaventure Bonnies on Saturday, February 19, at 1:00 P.M. The game will be part of the `Pink Zone' initiative in conjunction with the WBCA and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Fans are encouraged to show their support for the Pink Zone initiative by wearing pink on game day. The Pink Zone is a global, unified effort for the WBCA nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The game will feature giveaways, raffles and other prizes to all fans in attendance.
