The Fordham squash team had their final preparation matches for the CSA Team Championship next weekend at Harvard, as the Rams took on Bryant, Lafayette, and Connecticut College at the Connecticut College Round Robin in New London, Connecticut.
In the opening match, the Rams took down Bryant University for the second time this season by an 8-1 count. The match was highlighted by a first slot win by Colin Corbett, as he avenged an earlier loss this season to Nick Brenner. Corbett downed Brenner in straight sets, 11-6, 11-4, and 11-7
In match two, Fordham picked up its second win of the day with a 7-1 victory over Lafayette, who had beaten Bryant earlier in the day. Eli Plangger and Ken Fukumoto quickly got Fordham ahead, 2-0, posting a pair of three-set match wins, followed by quick victories by Chris Souther and Andiy Kulak. Raymond Chen then clinched the win with a 3-0 victory.
The last match saw host Connecticut College sweep all matches in straight sets.
The Rams will now head off to the CSA Team Champiosnhip, hosted by Harvard, February 25th-27th.
