Members of the Fordham track & field team had their second warm-up meet prior to the Valentine's Day Classic in Boston on Thursday, competing at the Armory Track & Field Center's Thursday Night at the Races.
The meet featured three events: the mile run, the 800 meters, and the two-mile run.
In the women's mile run, Christina Machado posted her best time of the season, clocking in at 5:28.5, with Olivia Hustleby finishing in 5:46.8.
In the men's mile, Rich Grandelli was Fordham's top finisher in a time of 4:30.2, followed by Stephen Donnelly (4:36.8), Ian Powell (4:39.8), and Christopher Chung (4:44.5).
The women's 800 meters featured Kellen Fitzgerald posting a time of 2:29.1 with Shannon McKenna finishing in a time of 2:42.0.
The Rams had four men in the 800 meters as well, led by Carter Ward with a time of 2:02.8. He was followed in by Jarrett Anistraniski (2:03.0), Troy Coonrad (2:04.1), and Ben Delikat (2:05.3).
In the two-mile run, Kim Naples was the top Fordham finisher at 11:51.5, followed by Mairin O'Connor in 12:28.3, while Tim Kazanjian posted a time of 9:59.7 in the men's competition.
The track & field teams will now head to Boston for the two-day Valentine's Day Classic, held at BU's Tennis and Track Center. The women's competition will take place on Friday, while the men's competition is Saturday.
