The Fordham women's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 for a game against Atlantic 10 conference foe Richmond in the Rose Hill Gymnasium for a 12:00 P.M. start. The Rams return home off of a two-game road trip to Saint Louis and Duquesne, where their record dropped to 10-12 overall, 2-4 in the league.
The Rose Hill Gymnasium has been a welcome place for the Rams this year as they boast a 6-4 mark at home. They have won their last two games there and look to make it three in a row against the Spiders.
Offensively, Fordham is led by junior guard Becky Peters. She is averaging 13.6 points per game. Senior Caitlin Shadbolt is second on the team in scoring at 11.8, and fellow senior Tiffany Stokes has posted three double-doubles in her last four games.
Richmond features the Atlantic 10's leading scorer, Brittani Shells, who enters the game averaging 19.9 points per game. Richmond is 13-8, 4-3 in the conference.
Following the game with the Spiders, the Rams go on the road to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a game with the La Salle Explorers on Sunday, February 6 at noon.
