Fordham Game Notes

The Rams enter the game with a 2-2 overall record after defeating Colgate University, 79-69, in the Rose Hill Gym on Tuesday night. Lehigh enters the game with a 5-2 record and is coming off an 86-75 win over Quinnipiac in Bethlehem on Monday night.

On the court, Fordham is led by junior Chris Gaston, who scored 15 points and grabbed eleven rebounds against Colgate, his third straight double-double of the year and the 39th of his career. Early in the game, he scored his 1,000th career point, becoming the 34th player in Fordham men's basketball history to surpass the 1,000-point career scoring mark, doing so in just his 60th career game.

Not to be outdone, two Fordham freshmen, both Brooklyn natives, also had a strong game for the Rams as Devon McMillan scored a game-high 20 points and recorded five steals while Bryan Smith chipped in with 19 points and six steals.

Thursday's game will be the 20th meeting between the Rams and the Mountain Hawks on the hardwood. Fordham leads the all-time series, which started in 1913-14, 12-7, including a 74-67 win at Lehigh last year as Gaston scored 14 points and grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds.

Come out and support your Rams in their home opener on tonight in the Rose Hill Gym!
