Washington, D.C. -
The Fordham University football Rams will play their seventh, and final, road game of the year today as they travel to Washington, D.C., to face Patriot League and Jesuit rivals Georgetown University on Multi-Sport Field at 1:00 p.m.
The game will be streamed live on the internet on the >Georgetown All Access page and will be broadcast live on wfuv.org with Ricky Cibrano and Andrew O'Connell handling the announcing chores and Alex Smith on the sidelines.
This will be the 54th meeting between Fordham and Georgetown on the gridiron with the Rams leading the all-time series, which started in 1889, 31-19-3 (the two teams also played five times when the sport was on the club level at each school with Fordham winning three of those five contests). The Rams have won the past five meetings, including a 24-19 win on Jack Coffey Field last year on October 30th as Darryl Whiting rushed for a career-high 251 yards and two touchdowns and Ryan Higgins completed 13 of 24 passes for 136 yards and one score. Fordham is 9-1 against Georgetown since the Hoyas joined the Patriot League in 2001. The Rams are 16-6-1 against Georgetown on Jack Coffey Field, 9-8-1 at Georgetown and 1-5 at the Polo Grounds. The 53 varsity meetings with the Hoyas are the most against any opponent for the Rams.
