Fordham University senior swimmer Courtney Collyer (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph by the Sea) was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming & Diving Co-Performer of the Week, it was announced by the league office today. It is Collyer's third weekly award of the season and fifh of her career.
Competing at the Bucknell Invitational, Collyer was once again one of Fordham's top performers. She was a part of five event wins at the Bucknell Invitational, which included individual wins in the 500-yard freestyle (4:56.94), the 100-yard butterfly (56.59) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:01.96) events. Her other two wins were in relay action as a part of the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:37.12) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:29.06).
On top of the wins, Collyer earned a second place finish in the 400-yard indivudal medley (4:24.49) and a fourth place finish in the 200-yard individual medley (2:07.97) in her final two individual events, while notching a second and two thirds in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:36.94), 400-yard medley relay (3:53.36), and the 200-yard medley relay (1:46.60), respectively.
Except for her time in the 200 individual medley, Collyer was a part of nine season-best times for the Rams.
