The Fordham University football Rams close out their 2011 season on Saturday, November 19th, as they host the Holy Cross Crusaders in the annual Ram-Crusader Cup game on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on the internet at wfuv.org with Kyle Kesses and Andrew O'Connell handling the announcing chores and Ricky Cibrano on the sidelines. The game can also been seen online at Fordhamsports.com,
Fordham enters the game with a 1-9 record and is coming off a 21-0 loss to Bucknell on Jack Coffey Field last Saturday. Holy Cross enters the game with a 5-5 overall record, 3-2 in the league, and is coming off a 29-24 league win over Lafayette in Worcester last week.
This will be the 49th meeting between Fordham and Holy Cross on the gridiron with the Crusaders leading the all-time series, which started in 1902, 26-20-2. Holy Cross has taken the past three meetings, including a 36-31 victory on Fitton Field last October 2nd as Ryan Taggart completed 27 of 37 passes for 289 yards and one touchdown and he rushed 12 times for 75 yards and one score. The last Fordham win came in 2007 when the Rams upended the Crusaders, 24-21, on Jack Coffey Field to clinch the Patriot League title.
Prior to the game, 27 Fordham seniors will be honored in a special senior ceremony.
