The Fordham men's golf team slipped three places to finish 5th, out of 8 teams at the Lehigh Invitational from the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The Rams finished day one in 2nd, but fell to fifth after shooting a 310 to record a final score of 611. The winning school was Seton Hall, who totaled 586 for the championship.
Among individual golfers, junior, Connor Monaghan finished in a tie for 7th with rounds of 76 and 74 for a six-over par total of 150. The next Fordham finisher was Brody Nieporte, who placed in the top-20 at 17, with marks of 76 and 77. Both Devon O'Rourke and Jeff Hogan finished in a tie for 20th with respective rounds of 74 & 80 and 77 & 77, which totaled 154. The final Fordham competitor was Jason Del Rosso, who set scores of 77 and 82, and finished in a tie for 35th place.
The golf team returns to action on Monday, October 24, when they close out the fall season with the Fairleigh Dickinson Invitational. The event will be held at the New Jersey National Golf Club from Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
