Cambridge, Mass. - The Fordham University rowers competed at the Head of the Charles on the Charles River this weekend where the varsity 4 finished seventh and the varsity 8 finished 36th.

The varsity 4 raced on Saturday in the women's club 4 event with the Rams coming in with a time of 20:20.26. Boston University won the race in a time 19:49.42, followed by the Peterborough Rowing Club (20:01.42), Boston College (20:04.80), the Riverside Boat Club (20:07.54), the Riverfront Recapture (20:14.75) and Lake Union (20:17.19). The Rams finished ahead of the Vancouver Rowing Club, Texas Rowing center and Norwalk River Rowing among the 45 boats in the race.

In the varsity 8, the Fordham boat placed 36th in a time of 18:07.35.

The Fordham rowers will return to action next weekend as they compete at the Head of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia on Saturday and the Metropolitan Championships at Orchard Beach on Sunday.
