Bronx, N.Y. - It's crunch time heading into the final two weekends of Atlantic 10 women's soccer action, and Fordham is right in the playoff hunt with just three games remaining. The Rams will have two of those games on the road this weekend when the team travels to Saint Louis on Friday and Charlotte on Sunday.

The Rams currently sits in a tie for third place in the Atlantic 10 with Massachusetts at 10 points. Both teams are chasing La Salle (15 points) and Richmond (13 points) for the top two seeds in this year's Atlantic 10 Championship. Behind the Rams and Minutewomen are a host of schools still in striking distance, which include both Saint Louis and Charlotte with seven points, St. Bonaventure and George Washington with eight, and Dayton with nine.

SERIES HISTORY: Charlotte holds a 5-1-1 record against the Rams in seven all-time meetings, while Saint Louis has played Fordham only three times with the Rams coming out on top twice.

LAST TIME OUT: In a what felt like a must win situation for the Fordham women's soccer team, the Rams fought though a driving wind in Kingston, Rhode Island, to post a 2-0 win over the Rhode Island Rams at the URI Soccer Complex on Sunday.

Fordham survived some early chances by Rhode Island's Marisa Ammaturo. Ammaturo had an early breakaway against Fordham goalkeeper Rachel Suther, who came up with the save. The ball was then cleared away by Casey Nowakowski before a Rhode Island player could find the rebound.

Fordham took that early momentum and turned it into a goal in the 37th minute. Off a corner kick, Fordham got a head pass from Liz Ker to Kelsey Dougherty Howard, who drove a header goal into the net from four yards out. It was Dougherty Howard's first goal of the season and of her career.

Fordham then sealed the game late with a goal in the 90th minute off the foot of Annie Worden. Worden blasted a shot from 20 yards out that hit the bottom of the crossbar and went straight down over the goal line for her sixth goal of the season.

Suther ended the match with four saves for her fourth shutout of the season, and the sixth by the Fordham defense this season.
