Atlantic 10 Cross Country Weekly Release

Fordham University freshman Sarah Glockenmeier (Basking Ridge, N.J./Mount St. Mary Academy) was named Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week, it was announced today. It is the second consecutive weekly award for Glockenmeier, who was also named Rookie of the Week last week.

At the 2011 St. John's Fall Festival on Sunday morning at Cunningham Park in Queens, Glockenmeier was the top women's rookie finisher, placing fourth overall in a time of 14:31.22 over the 4K course. She was the second Fordham finisher across the line, helping the Rams place second in the team competition.

The men's and women's cross country teams will return to action on Saturday, October 29th, as they compete in the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championships at Frank Liske Park in Charlotte, N.C.
