Final Scores

On Sunday, the Fordham men's golf team jumped two spots to conclude the 2011 Classic at Shelter Harbor in 5th place, out of 15 teams, after finishing in 7th on Saturday. Brody Nieporte, Jeff Hogan and Jason Del Rosso all played to a 16th place finish for the individual competition. The event was held at the Shelter Harbor Country Club in Charlestown, Rhode Island.
As a team, the Rams posted a score of 611, after shooting rounds of 309 and 302. They finished in a tie for 5th alongside Central Connecticut, both of whom trailed the winners, Dartmouth College. The Big Green put up a winning score of 594.
For the individual players, Nieporte shot a combined 152. He opened with a 78 and shot a three-over 74 on Sunday. Hogan recorded an identical 152 with scores of 77 and 75. Del Rosso was the third Rams golfer to earn a 152 with a pair of 76 numbers. After those three, Devon O'Rourke shared a piece of 47th place with a combined score of 160 on marks of 78 and 82. Freshman, Brian Engstrom posted an 84 and a 77 for a 52nd place finish. Finally, Ben Alcorn also finished alongside Engstrom, but he only competed in the individual competition. His scores were 78 and 83.
The Fordham golf team returns to the course on Saturday, October 22nd. They will travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to compete in the Lehigh Invitational.
