Bronx, N.Y. - After opening the season with nine of its first 11 games on the road, the Fordham men's soccer team will finally have the chance to sleep in their own beds as they begin a five-game homestand this Friday, October 14, when the welcome the UMass Minutemen into Jack Coffey Field for an Atlantic 10 matchup. The start time is scheduled for 7:00 P.M.

The Rams are currently on a hot streak, as they have won three in a row, including their first two A-10 contests. The highlight was a 1-0 win over #23 Xavier, 1-0. In that game, senior goalie Ryan Meara set the all-time Fordham shutout record and Matt Courtenay scored the game's lone marker. For his effort, Courtenay was named A-10 Co-Player of the Week this week.

Fordham's 2-0 league mark is their best since 2009, when they opened with wins over St. Bonaventure and Duquesne. In that season, the team advanced to the A-10 tournament.

Currently the team is led on offense by Courtenay, who has six points on three goals. After him, both John McHugh and John Niyonsaba are tied at four points apiece.

This weekend is Family Weekend at Fordham and the men's soccer team has another home game on Sunday to close out Family Weekend. The opponent on Sunday is Rhode Island and the game begins at 1:00 P.M.
