Bronx, N.Y. -
Coming off the heels of a loss to Temple a week ago, the Rams welcome the George Washington Colonials into the Rose Hill Gymnasium on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Fordham is looking to end a mini-losing streak and return to .500 in conference play.
In the Temple loss, senior Forward Tiffany Stokes recorded the first double-double of the season. She posted game-highs in points (15) and rebounds (12). She is part of a potential starting lineup that includes leading scorer, junior Becky Peters, as well as two-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week winner Abigail Corning.
The game will be the seventeenth all-time meeting between the two schools and Fordham has yet to record a win. The series began on January 20, 1996 and GW beat the Rams 81-51. In their most recent match-up on February 20, 2010, the Colonials beat Fordham 56-47.
Following the game with GW, the Rams continue Atlantic 10 play on the road as they travel to St. Louis to face fellow Jesuit school, Saint Louis University, on Tuesday, January 25 at 8:00 p.m. From there they move on to Pittsburgh to face Duquesne before returning home to face Richmond on February 2nd.
