After an arduous trip down to Charlotte, North Carolina, the Fordham Rams face the Charlotte 49ers in Atlantic 10 action on Wednesday, January 12, 2011. The game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
The trip down to Charlotte was the first obstacle the team had to overcome, as they had several flights canceled at LaGuardia airport due to blizzard like conditions that blanketed the East Coast. The team split into two groups, with one traveling to Greensboro, North Carolina via Washington, D.C. and the other half going directly to Greensboro. From there, they boarded a bus for the 80 mile journey to Charlotte before arriveing late Tuesday evening for the game on Wednesday.
The Rams enter the game off the heals of a 69-54 victory over La Salle on January 7 and Fordham has won three of it's last four contests. Recently for the Rams, freshman guard Abigail Corning was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for her performance in the game against the Explorers.
Following the game with the 49ers, the Rams return home and welcome the Temple Owls into the Rose Hill Gymnasium for a game on Saturday, January 15. Gamne time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
