Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University head women's basketball coach Cathy Andruzzi announced the 2010-11 schedule today. The schedule includes ten postseason teams from a year ago, three in-season tournaments, highlighted by the Kansas Classic at historic Allen Fieldhouse, and a televised match-up with La Salle during Fordham's 14-game Atlantic 10 Conference slate.

The Rams open the season with the first of three tournaments at Elon in North Carolina on November 12th and 13th. Fordham will open with host Elon, followed by a match-up with Stony Brook.

Fordham then begins its home schedule with back-to-back games against former Patriot League rivals. The Rams meet Bucknell on November 17th for the home opener, and then renew a longtime rivalry with Holy Cross on November 20th.

After a short trip to Fairleigh Dickinson on November 23rd, the Rams head to the Midwest for the Kansas Classic at Allen Fieldhouse from November 26th through 28th. Fordham opens with Conference USA's Memphis on day one, followed by North Dakota State on day two, and then finally host Kansas, who made the WNIT last year.

Prior to Christmas, Fordham will stay in the tri-state region for three home games and two road contests. Fordham will host St. Peter's on December 4th for Alumni Day, along with Monmouth on December 11th, and the annual "Battle of the Bronx" match-up with Manhattan returns to Rose Hill this season on December 18th. The Rams will travel to Rider (Dec. 8) and play at WNIT participant Iona (Dec. 22) to close out that stretch.

The Fordham Holiday Classic then takes center stage on December 28th and 29th, as the final in-season tournament for the Rams. Fordham will host Yale, Siena, and Villanova at the Rose Hill Gym for the fourth installment of the Classic. The Rams will face Yale on December 28th and Siena on December 29th.

Fordham then wraps up non-conference play at Albany on January 2nd.

The Rams will then begin their journey for a second straight berth at the Atlantic 10 Championship, which will be held at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts from March 4th through the 7th.

The 2010-11 season will culminate at the A-10 Championship, hosted at the Tsongas Center.

Fordham begins Atlantic 10 Conference play at home on January 8th with the first of two games against La Salle. The second game between the two longtime foes is at La Salle on February 6th and will be televised by CBS College Sports.

Besides the home-and-home series with La Salle, Fordham will host four of the remaining six home conference games against squads that made either the NCAA or WNIT Tournament, and then play four more on the road.

The Rams will host NCAA participant Temple (Jan.15) and WNIT participants Richmond (Feb. 2), Saint Joseph's (Feb. 9), and St. Bonaventure (Feb. 19). Games with George Washington (Jan. 22) and Massachusetts (Feb. 23) will close out Fordham's home schedule.

On the road, the Rams will travel to NCAA participants Xavier (Feb. 12), who made the Elite Eight last season, and Dayton (Feb. 26), as well as to Charlotte (Jan. 12) and Duquesne (Jan. 29), who both made the WNIT.
