Bronx, N.Y. -

The Fordham University football Rams will look to regain possession of the Liberty Cup when they travel into Manhattan on Saturday to face the Columbia University Lions on Kraft Field at Wein Stadium 12:30 PM.

The game will be broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) as well as on the internet at wfuv.org.

Fordham enters the game with a 1-1 record, coming off a 27-25 win over Rhode Island on Jack Coffey Field last week. Columbia enters its season opener after going 4-6 in 2009.

This will be the 19th meeting between Fordham and Columbia on the gridiron, with the Lions leading the all-time series, which started in 1890, 12-6. Columbia won last year match-up, 40-28, on Jack Coffey Field on September 19th as M.A. Olawale completed 13 of 23 passes for 167 yards and he rushed for two touchdowns while Ray Rangel carried 26 times for 118 yards and one touchdown and the Columbia defense intercepted three Fordham passes. The all-time Liberty Cup series is now tied at four wins each.
