Fordham Students Meet Head Basketball Coach Tom Pecora on Thursday

Sept. 1, 2010

Bronx, N.Y. -

An open letter to Fordham students from head men's basketball coach Tom Pecora:

Students,

I can't tell you how excited I am to have all of you back on campus. It's great to see this beautiful campus come to life again as the school year begins.

To the newcomers, the Fordham class of 2014, welcome! First off, I want to wish all of you the best of luck for the upcoming school year and hopefully all of you get off to a great start.

The start of the school year is always an exciting time for me because it means basketball season is right around the corner. I hope all of you are just as enthusiastic about the start of the 2010-11 season as we are here in the Men's Basketball office. We want to build something special at Fordham University and you are all such a major element to the development of our program. This is why I wanted to reach out to all of you now to help jump-start the process.

I want to personally let all of you know how important you are to our upcoming season and to the future of this program. This is why tomorrow (9/2) from 12:45 - 2:00 pm I will be at the front entrance of the McGinley Center handing out and signing posters with my staff. I look forward to meeting all of you and sharing with you my vision of Fordham Basketball. We plan on building Fordham into an Atlantic 10 power and we want and need all of you to be a part of it.

Best of luck this year and I look forward to meeting all of you tomorrow!

Only the Best,

Coach Pecora
