Fordham University Athletics will utilize a new technology this year for football and basketball tickets. This technology will allow the Rams to use scanners and digital tickets which will help shorten lines at the gate and allow fans to print tickets from home.
In partnership with TicketReturnTM, a leading developer of integrated Box Office and Internet ticketing services, Fordham will use scanners at each gate of Coffey Field as well as to the entrance to the Rose Hill Gym.
Ram fans that purchase single-game tickets through the Fordham web site at www.FordhamSports.com will be able to print those tickets at home and bring them to the game where they will be scanned.
As part of the new service, season tickets holders will be given the opportunity to acquire a Season Ticket card (similar to a credit card) that can be scanned to gain access to home events. Season ticket holders may also opt to receive printed tickets for the season. Whichever system is used, if a season ticket holder is unable to attend a game they will be able to transfer the tickets to another person who can then print the tickets online.
Football is the first sport that will utilize digital tickets at Fordham and the technology will also be utilized at all home basketball contests.

The Rams open the 2010 season on Saturday, September 4th at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., before kicking off the home portion of the schedule the following week, September 11th, by hosting Rhode Island on Jack Coffey Field at 6:00 p.m.
Once again, the Rams will feature a number of promotional days during the 2010 football season. The home opener on September 11th will feature promotional giveaways, including t-shirts, key rings and bandanas along with a Ram Inflatable Park on Edwards Parade for the younger Ram fans. Homecoming and Football Alumni Day is scheduled for the second home game of the year when the Rams host Assumption College on September 25th at 1:00 p.m. The night before the Homecoming game, the new Beryl and John Lyons Football Locker Room will be officially dedicated.
After three straight road games, the Rams will return to Coffey Field on October 23rd to host Lafayette College as part of Family Weekend on Rose Hill. The game will feature the Coke Inflatable Park for the younger Ram fans on Edwards Parade and a Modern Food Center reusable bag giveaway at the game. The following week Fordham faces Jesuit rivals, Georgetown University, on Len Eshmont as the Rams honor the Athletic Hall of Famer and former San Francisco 49er. The game will also be the annual "Take a Kid to the Game Day" and Halloween candy will be distributed to the younger fans.
The home schedule concludes on November 20th when the Rams host Colgate University for Senior Day/Fan Appreciation Day with a special jersey giveaway planned.
Season tickets for the 2010 season are also on sale and are available for just $60 for the loge section and $40 for general admission.
