Volleyball Hosts Bid for the Cure Auction on October 7th

Aug. 23, 2010

Bronx, N.Y. - On October 7th, Fordham's Women Volleyball Team will be hosting Bid for the Cure. Bid for the Cure is a silent auction to raise money for The Side-Out Foundation. The Side-Out Foundation was founded to unite volleyball players and coaches in order to work toward raising breast cancer awareness, education and patient services. Money given to The Side-Out Foundation is contributed to organizations that serve breast cancer patients in the form of research, medicals services and compassionate support.

In order to make this event happen, several items have been donated to constitute a variety of themed baskets. Items for baskets include: autographed memorabilia from Phil Mickelson and a member of the New York Giants, as well as a cruise and many other great prizes. Proceeds from the event will be collected and given to the Side-Out Foundation, as well as Fordham volleyball.

The volleyball team has devoted much of their time collecting donations and organizing Bid for the Cure. If you would like to donate to Fordham's Volleyball Team in honor of this event and cause, please make your check payable to Fordham University.

Please help the volleyball team make the inaugural Bid for the Cure a huge event. The event will start at 7 pm in the McGinley Center at Rose Hill. Please RSVP to Tara Peterson at tpeterson@fordham.edu or 720-320-0790. Tickets are $35 and include appetizers, desserts, and beverages.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate to such a worthy cause, please send check or money order payable to Fordham University to:
