Bronx, N.Y. - The weather turned a bit cooler for the Fordham University football squad on Friday but the heat was turned up in practice as the Rams took to Coffey Field in full pads for the first time. Both sides of the ball showed promise, with the defense appearing to dominate the practice session but the offense coming on strong at the end, winning a modified version of the Oklahoma Drill.

The defense kept the offense in check for the most part during the two-hour practice, forcing turnovers and intercepting a few passes. The session ended with a drill in which three offensive linemen and three defensive linemen, along with a wide receiver and a defensive back, paired up in a V-shaped area, with a running back trying to gain ten yards on three downs. In that drill, the offense was able to score on the defense, with strong rushes from the likes of Xavier Martin, Quasand Lewis, Jamir Livingston and Kyle Finnegan. The offensive linemen (Adnan Vandyck, Andrew Milmore John Hohlt, Jonathan Sheridan, Lloyd Morrison, Robert Kubacki, Chris Watkins, Connor Hartigan, John Smalec, Wendell Joly, Kai Brusch, Matt Stolte and Steven Tapia, among others) provided the blocking.
