  • With the loss, Fordham falls to 48-11 on the season. The Rams will face the loser of the second game, either Syracuse or Maryland. Fordham defeated Maryland, 2-1 in last night’s 7 p.m. game.

  • The 1-0 loss to Oklahoma was only the third one-run loss for Fordham this season. The Rams lost 1-0 to Georgia State on March 14, 4-3 to Pittsburgh in 10-innings on March 20. Fordham is 8-3 in one-run games.

  • Jen Mineau (33-8) struck out nine batters against Oklahoma, eight of the nine batters were swinging. She struck out the side in the second inning, with three swinging strikeouts. Mineau has struck out the side in 47 times 269.1 innings pitched. Mineau struck out five-straight with swinging K’s through the first three innings. Mineau has recorded 491 strikeouts this season, 664 for her career. Fordham’s all-time career strikeout leader is Sara Kinney (2003-07) with 680 K’s.

  • With 67 hits, Jocelyn Deaborn is tied for sixth on the single-season record list. She tied Melissa Andrews (2007). Dearborn is on the list at No. 4 with 69 hits her rookie season.

  • Jamie LaBovick tallied her 63rd hit of the season. She’s one hit away from cracking into Fordham’s single-season Top 10.

  • Catcher Meghan Shager is 16-for-20 throwing down runners at second base from behind the plate. For her career, she is 32-for-66.

  • Beckah Wiggins hit her 60th hit of the season.

  • Nicole Callahan tallied her 28th hit of the season.

  • Senior Erin Fisher was hit by a pitch in the first inning - her first HBP this season. Fisher walked in the sixth inning, she’s had 28 walks this season, 96 for her career. As the lone senior on the Fordham Rams, Fisher would have graduated this morning at Rose Hill.

  • Fordham now has four players with more than 60 hits this season. The last time that happened was 2008 with Melissa Andrews (70), Jocelyn Dearborn (69), Mary Beth Puccio (68) and Allison Twarowski (66). The 2010 squad has Dearborn (67), Jamie LaBovick (63), Beckah Wiggins (60) and Erin Fisher (60).
