Randall Hurst Named 2009-10 Women's Basketball Most Valuable Player

Bronx, N.Y. - As the 2009-10 season begins to wind down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 76th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on May 6th to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year.

Among those honored was senior Randall Hurst, who was named the 2009-10 women's basketball most valuable player.

In just two years at Fordham, Hurst, a transfer from Daytona Beach Community College, surpassed the 700-point plateau, graduating with 745 career points. She led the Rams in scoring this winter, averaging 13.7 ppg. Hurst also led the team in rebounding, averaging 6.1 rpg and ranked among the Atlantic 10 leaders in both scoring and rebounding.
