Bronx, N.Y. -
As the 2009-10 season begins to wind down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 76th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on May 6th to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year.
Among those honored was senior James Lechleitner, who was named the 2009-10 squash most valuable player.
Lechleitner served as a team captain in 2009-10, winning three matches for the Rams. Two of those wins came at the CSA 9-man championship as the Rams recovered from a 5-4 loss to Lafayette in the opening round to defeat the College of Charleston, 7-2, and advance to the consolation finals in the Hawthorn Division where the Rams picked up a 6-3 win over Bucknell.
